Sean's work as a writer always looks for ways to emphasize the collaborative relationship between audience and performance. His scripts draw inspiration form classic works and explore the complexities and contradictions we face as people. Often, his works are in dialogue with other authors and playwrights. His play, Temporary Dissonance, was recognized at the Purchase POV festival in 2022. He frequently works with Glow-Worm Theater Company to provide rehearsal and performance cuts of Shakespeare's plays.
